(News August) — depression may be linked to increased activities in gene regulatory body (Circadian) 24-hour format, the results of the study suggest.
Researchers collecting blood samples from 30 people with a history of depression and 30 people who have never been diagnosed with the disorder. Blood samples were analysed by assessing the level of messenger RNA, related to the four Circadian genes. Messenger RNA levels indicate the activity of a gene.
